ITRI Internship Taiwan: Fully Funded Summer Research Program

The ITRI Taiwan Summer Internship is a fully funded program offered by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), a leading technology organization in Taiwan. This program aims to provide international students with valuable hands-on experience in technology research and innovation.

  • Internship Duration: 2 to 3 months (Longer internships of 4-6 months are also possible throughout the year).

Eligible Countries

  • Applicants from all over the world are welcome, with no nationality restrictions, including all ASEAN countries.

Application Timeline

  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
  • Summer Interns should be available to work for a minimum of 10 weeks between May and September.
  • Internship dates are flexible and decided on a case-by-case basis upon receiving an acceptance offer.

Eligibility Highlights

  • Must be currently enrolled in a university outside Taiwan (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD levels).
  • Proficiency in English (Mandarin is optional).
  • Must hold a valid passport (not from Taiwan).
  • Demonstrated passion for technology and innovation.
  • Must be available for the entire 2 to 3 months of the internship.

Scholarship Coverage (Benefits)

  • Accommodation: Free lodging in modern dormitories on the ITRI campus.
  • Monthly Stipend: NT24,000 – NT40,000 per month (before taxes), depending on experience and departmental situation.
  • Insurance: Free ITRI Group Accident Insurance (Full medical coverage must be purchased independently).
