Ernst Mach Grant – ASEA-UNINET Call 2025/26

The Ernst Mach Grant – ASEA-UNINET is a scholarship funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and administered by OeAD GmbH in cooperation with the ASEAN-European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET).

Eligibility Highlights

  • Education Level:
  • Undergraduates and graduates in artistic fields for music practice stays
  • Postgraduates pursuing full PhD programs at ASEA-UNINET member universities or Austrian institutions
  • Postdoctoral researchers involved in teaching and research at ASEA-UNINET member universities
  • Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for full PhD and music practice grants; maximum 45 years for postdocs.
  • Language Requirements: Proficiency in English and/or German as per program requirements.
  • Other Conditions: Applicants must not have lived or worked in Austria for more than 6 months prior to the grant start.

Scholarship Coverage (Benefits)

  • Monthly living allowance of approx. €1,300
  • Tuition fees waived for study and research in Austria
  • Travel subsidy up to €1,200 for airfare
  • Health and accident insurance
  • Support with accommodation and visa procedures.
