Ernst Mach – ASEA-UNINET Short-term Research Grant
This short-term research grant program is a collaborative effort between the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Research (BMBWF), OeAD, and ASEA-UNINET.
It offers an excellent academic opportunity for Postdoctoral researchers from ASEAN countries to conduct research at ASEA-UNINET member universities in Austria.
Key Countries for Application
Open to citizens of ASEAN countries including: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and others.
Application Timeline
Applications are accepted on a continuous basis.
Applications must be submitted 2 to 9 months before the intended start of the research period.
Eligibility Highlights
- Applicants must currently be conducting Postdoc research at an ASEA-UNINET member university in their country of residence.
- Applicants must be under the age of 45.
- Proficiency in the English or German language is required.
- Applicants must not have resided in, studied, or conducted academic work in Austria during the six months immediately preceding the start of the grant period.
.Financial Benefits
- A monthly allowance of approximately €1,300.
- A contribution towards flight tickets, up to €1,200.
- Health and accident insurance coverage is included.
- Assistance with visa and residence permit documentation
